Shipping Cost Adjustments
Sometimes a shipment can incur additional fees after initial rating. This means that at the time of label generation the price was X and after delivery it jumped to Y. This is common with carriers like Fedex and UPS which sometimes levy additional charges on a shipment after delivery.
Shipping adjustment charges only be apply to the shipping charge (not to the pick and pack charge), and can take up to 2 months to appear on your account. Some of the reasons for shipping adjustment charges are:
- Extended Delivery Area (the address was in a rural area that was outside of the carriers standard delivery zone)
- Redelivery (the package was redirected by the receiver because they moved or were unable to receive it at the original address)
- Address Correction (the original address at label generation was incorrect and had to be corrected by the carrier, resulting in additional fees)
