Is print dead?

Filed under: General Information — Tags: — Mark @ 11:37 am

With the online world growing by the second, people are turning to the internet for just about everything.  Nevermind looking in the yellow pages, just google it.  Forget newspapers, too messy, bad for the environment, and too hard to carry around, just google it.  What people often overlook is that print is everywhere, and we sub-consciously rely on it everyday to provide direction, information, and keep us in the loop.  What if your bottle of engine motor oil didn’t say the viscosity of it?  Or if your bottle of window cleaner didn’t have a poison symbol on it?  Think about all those times you look at something printed for information, then ask yourself, “is print dead?”

Check out the clip below…classic.

FSC Certified Paper?

Filed under: General Information — Mark @ 8:36 am

Whats the deal with FSC?  Well, there’s a lot of details to explain, best thing to do is jsut check out this site http://www.fsccanada.org/whatwedo.htm.

At Copywell, we decided to jump on the FSC bandwagon last year, and it has really helped us serve our customers with more environmentally responsible products.  All of our house stocks are FSC certified, so any job you get from us, you can be assured that we have done our part in purchasing paper that is from responsibly managed forests.  Ask us about FSC, and how we can help you market your business with the FSC designation.

The Cost to Print

One thing we get asked a lot is, “how much does it cost to ____”.  Well, the answer is not that simple, we have to know a few things before we tell you a price.  Typically, here are the factors that contribute to the cost of printing with us.

  1. Finished Size (e.g, 8.5 x 11)
  2. Colour or Black (e.g full colour process)
  3. Single or Double Sided (e.g double sided)
  4. Paper Type (e.g 14 pt matte cardstock)
  5. Quantity (e.g 250)

Once you have this information, let us know and we can work out pricing for you.
